Early this year I was invited by the Casa Grande Headstart to introduce the little tykes to the wonders of our Solar System. In the photos below the kids are examining a map of the Moon on  a far wall, which provided a perspective of looking at the real thing through a telescope. I'd like to think a future astronomer, engineer or astronaut was made that day.

I was invited to speak at Central Arizona College's Astronomy night at their Signal Peak campus on March 7, 2014, which gave me an opportunity to speak about the Chelyabinsk Meteor event and asteroids in general. There were many children in the audience. The Casa Grande Dispatch newspaper was kind enough to lead their March 11 issue with the story.
